is an exceptional teacher and director, and has been directing/teaching and performing improvisational theatre for almost 20 years. Trenton was the artistic director for San Diego Theatresports and Funhouse Improv, two of San Diego’s leading improv troupes. Trenton grew up as a performer, starting with the shows he did in his play room as a chil. He then graduated to the real stage in elementary school, being cast as Abraham Lincoln. Trenton has played numerous parts in countless stage shows. One of his favorites was the Cowardly Lion in a touring company of “The Wizard of Oz” . Trenton then started doing improvisational theatre at the age of 19 and was hooked. He has performed with numerous troupes (including every Theatresports company on the the West coast), and participated in international improv festivals. Trenton has studied under some of the top improvisational teachers in the world, including Keith Johnstone (author of Impro, Creator of Theatresports) Brad Sherwood (Whose Line is it Anyway?) Gary Austin (founding member of The Groundlings) Stephen Nachmanovitch (author of Free Play) Randy Dixon (Artistic Director of Unexpected Productions). Students of Trenton can be seen in many television shows and films, and on stage with Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Improv Olympic. Trenton has brought his artistic vision to Portland and co-founded “The Unscriptables – an unscripted theatre company”, with Andy Barrett. This theatre company will push the limits of theatre and improvisation.
